J-3 Specialty Metal Fabrication :
Here at J-3 we pride ourselves on the quality of our fabrication work and the skills required. I believe top level fabrication is truly an art. I have invested a significant amount of capital to acquire the equipment necessary to be able to do all types of rust and accident repair and specialty metal fabrication for VW's, Porsche 356, 912 and 911. This includes both large capacity brakes and finger brakes, P-3 Pullmax, 42" metal lathe, Bridgeport Mill, Pexto Slip roll and stomp shear, Metal band saws, Lincoln Mig and TIG welders and carts of various hand tools. All of our cars are stripped with Plastic media blasting and crushed glass to get to clean surfaces. Interior panels are etch primed and then weld thru primer before welding. All or our seam work is butt welded and ground smooth to make it look original. It goes without saying that high quality fabrication is VERY time consuming and expensive, but if you want it done right the first time, need lead work done or just want your car correct to original specs, I'm sure we can help. Restoration quality paint work is only as good as what's underneath.
