J-3 is me…Rich Ewald.   .  I decided to open my business when we moved here to Columbia in 1999.  The reason I primarily only do VW’s is simply the people, the love they have for their cars and the hobby!  If I were only in it for the money I’d have a collision shop!  All work done at the shop is done by me. I try limiting the number of projects to keep it manageable and focus on attention to detail.  If you try to be all things to all people, quality is usually the first thing lost. 

I use only the best quality parts and materials including
Bugcity/Kaferstadt and West Coast Classic. I service all air cooled volkswagens, including complete engine, transaxle, front-end & electrical service.

Even before you buy your VW, I can perform a pre-purchase inspection, so you don't buy the wrong one. No matter where you take your VW ultimately, I recommend bringing your car to me for its first service, so I can make sure it's safe and tuned to the proper specifications to protect your investment down the road. If you continue to service your VW with me, you can be assured I will service your car the same way I would if my own family was driving it.
